The movie continues to play even after setting the Blu-ray Disc Parental Control feature to an age-restriction setting.

The parental control functionality is triggered by the disc and not the Blu-ray Disc® player. If the Blu-ray Disc or DVD media contains parental control and the Blu-ray Disc Parental Control setting has been set, the player will prevent playback. However, there are many titles that have parental information printed on the case but do not have the parental control flag set correctly on the media. In these cases the disc should be removed from the player or the Child Lock setting in the Blu-ray Disc player menu should be activated.
