Unable to establish the S-AIR® wireless connection (pairing) on the Home Theatre (HT) system.
If you are unable to pair, it could be due to a loose connection or there could be too much distance between the units. Follow these steps to resolve this issue:
- Pull out both S-AIR transceiver cards and then push them firmly back in place until you hear a click.
- Turn the main unit and the wireless surround amplifier off and then back on again.
- Do the following programming steps:
- On the main unit, press SYSTEM MENU.
- Press the up or down arrow repeatedly until S-AIR ID appears in the display.
- Press the + button.
- Press the up or down arrow to select ID A.
- Press the + button.
- Press the SYSTEM MENU button once more to exit the menu.
- On the back of the wireless surround amplifier, check to see if the red light is illuminated.
- If the red light is not illuminated, set the S-AIR ID switch to A and the Surround Selector switch to SURROUND.
- If the red light is illuminated or blinking, change the S-AIR ID switch to a different channel and then select Channel A. The red light should go off.
- The units should now pair.
NOTE: The green light on the surround amplifier should be solid.
After you have established the connection, when playing a two-channel source, such as a TV or CD, in order to get sounds from all the speakers, follow these steps:
NOTE: If the sound from a Television program is monaural, sound will output only from the center speaker.
- Press SYSTEM MENU.
- Press the up or down arrow repeatedly until DEC. MODE appears in the front display.
- Press the + button.
- Press the up or down arrow repeatedly until PRO LOGIC, PLII, or PLII MUSIC appears in the front display.
- Press the + button.
- Press the SYSTEM MENU button to exit the menu.
