Set the Portable Player to USB Connection Mode

    Steps to Set the USB Connection Mode

    1. Press the HOME button.

      Note: The location of the Home button may vary. To understand the locations and functions of buttons on your device, refer to your manual. Manuals are posted on your model support page.

    2. From the Home menu, select Settings.

      Note: The following guide pictures were taken from an NWZ-A17 Walkman player. The home screen and menu of your Walkman may vary, but the steps should be the same.

    3. From the Settings menu, select Common Settings.

    4. From the Common Settings menu, select USB Connection Mode.

    5. When Use when USB connection cannot be established. Use this mode? appears, select Yes.
