Some camera functions don't work when using third-party lenses or mount adapters
This usually happens when the third-party lens or mount adapter can't communicate with the camera. This isn't a malfunction. To continue taking pictures with your camera and third-party lenses or mount adapters, select the Release without lens option in the camera menu. Check your manual for model-specific information. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
Note:
- Functions that don't work may include autofocus and image stabilization.
- If the third-party lens or mount adapter worked fine with the camera before, and the issue only occurred after performing a firmware update on the camera, check with the manufacturer of the third-party lens or mount adapter if there's a firmware update that can resolve the issue.
