How to delete a movie or picture from a DVD-RW disc using the DVD Handycam digital video camera.

WARNING: There is a risk of data loss. Once a movie or picture is deleted it cannot be recovered.

IMPORTANT: The DVD disc being used must be formatted in the VR format to allow this procedure to work.

Follow these steps to delete a movie or picture from a DVD-RW disc using a DVD Handycam® digital video camera:

NOTE: You cannot overwrite or delete data recorded on DVD-R media.

1. Turn on the digital video camera.
2. Insert a recorded DVD-RW disc into the digital video camera.
3. Open the LCD on the digital video camera.
4. Turn the mode dial to the PLAY/EDIT position.
5. Press the EDIT button.
6. Press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW button to select EDIT MOVIE or EDIT STILL.
7. Press the ENTER button.
8. Press the LEFT ARROW or RIGHT ARROW button to select SEL.ITEM.
9. Press the ENTER button.
10. Press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW button to select DELETE.
11. Press the ENTER button.
12. Press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW button to select SELECT.
13. Press the ENTER button.
14. Press the ARROW buttons to select the movie or image to delete.
15. Press the ENTER button.
16. Press the ARROW buttons to select EXEC.
17. Press the ENTER button.
18. Press the LEFT ARROW or RIGHT ARROW button to select EXEC.
19. Press the ENTER button.
