Important message for customers updating from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1
Dear Sony VAIO Customers,
Microsoft has released Windows 8.1, a free update to Windows 8. If you're running Windows 8, we encourage you to update.
However, to avoid potential complications in running Windows 8.1 on your VAIO computer, it is critical that you run VAIO Update both BEFORE and AFTER installing Windows 8.1. VAIO Update will install important updates necessary to keep your computer running smoothly with Windows 8.1.
To get started, click the VAIO Update icon located on your desktop, or open the Search charm and type VAIO Update.
Select all listed drivers, applications, and utilities, and then click Install.
Once you've run VAIO Update, click on the link below and follow the instructions to install Windows 8.1.
