The sound or low sound from the TV through the wireless subwoofer.

    IMPORTANT: This solution only applies if using the SWF-BR100 wireless subwoofer and a compatible Sony® TV.

    Each of these steps is a possible solution, make sure that sound is still not coming out of the subwoofer before proceeding to the next step.
    NOTE: Prior to following these steps, make sure that the TV has the latest system software update. Updates are available from the Settings menu of the TV under Network.

    1. Make sure that the audio cable that is connected to the wireless transceiver and the TV is connected properly and securely.

    2. Make sure that the sound output setting on the TV is set to Subwoofer.
      1. Using the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
      2. Select Settings.
      3. Select Sound.
      4. Select Headphone/Audio Out.
      5. Select Subwoofer.
    3. Make sure the volume level of the TV is not muted and set to a audible level.
    4. Adjust the Subwoofer Level or Cut Off Frequency.
      1. Using the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
      2. Select Settings.
      3. Select Sound.
      4. Select Wireless Subwoofer.
      5. Select either Subwoofer level or Cut Off Frequency and adjust the setting as appropriate.
    5. Change the Sound Booster setting to ON.
      1. Using the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
      2. Select Settings.
      3. Select Sound.
      4. Select Sound Booster.
      5. Select ON.
    6. Check the status of power indicator on the subwoofer.

      • If the indicator is off:
        1. Make sure that the power cord is securely connected.
        2. Turn on the subwoofer by pressing the Power button on the subwoofer.
      • If the indicator is lit in red:
        1. Move the subwoofer closer to the TV.
        2. Make sure that the subwoofer is not in a metal cabinet or near an item that may cause interference.
        3. Make sure that the wireless transceiver is inserted correctly.
        4. Make sure that the wireless subwoofer power setting is set to on from the menu of the TV.
      • If the indicator is flashing in green, amber or slowly turns red:
        1. Perform the Secure Link setting.
          NOTE: The following steps must be performed within a two minute time span.
          1. Press the SECURE button on the wireless transceiver. The LED indicator will flash in an amber color.

          2. Press the SECURE button on the rear of the subwoofer. The LED will flash in amber.
          3. Both LEDs will turn into a solid amber light and a bass sound will be heard to confirm that the secure link was made.
        2. If sound is still not heard, move the subwoofer closer to the TV until the indicator turns green or amber.
      • If the indicator flashes red:
        1. Turn off the subwoofer and make sure that nothing is blocking the ventilation ports.

        2. The red flashing light may be an indication that the volume is too loud. Lower the volume of the TV.
