The screen on the Android TV gets brighter on dark scenes when the volume button is pressed.

    As part of the normal operation of the Android™ TV, the screen will brighten or get lighter on dark scenes when the volume control is pressed. This is done as part of indicating that the volume is being adjusted.

    Making the following changes within the TV menu may minimize the effect. Try each of these setting changes as desired :

    • Turn off the Light Sensor and the Black Adjust settings.

      1. Launch a desired Internet application from the Apps menu of the TV or select the desired input.
      2. Select a show or a movie,
      3. On the TV's IR remote control, press the ACTION MENU button.

      4. Select Picture adjustments.

      5. Select Light sensor.
      6. Select OFF.

      7. Select Advanced settings.

      8. Select Black adjust.

      9. Select Off.

      10. Select Adv. contrast enhancer.

      11. Select Off.

    • Set the TV to Vivid mode.

      1. Launch a desired Internet application from the Apps menu of the TV or select the desired input.
      2. Select a show or a movie,
      3. On the TV's IR remote control, press the ACTION MENU button.

      4. Select Picture adjustments.

      5. Select Picture mode.

      6. Select Vivid.

    NOTES:

    • Each input will remember the picture setting selected for the next time it is used.
    • Some apps like Amazon® video service and YouTube® video service will respond to the overall TV settings. Other apps like Hulu® video service may require individualized settings.
