Turn Off the Sound From TV Speakers When Connected to Sound Bar

If you connected your TV and sound bar with an HDMI® cable, the sound will automatically change over to the sound bar. If you're not using an HDMI cable, choose your connection method below for instructions on how to hear sound through only the sound bar.
Optical Cord Connection
Set the TV volume lower as much as possible while viewing.
Analog Cable Connection
Set the TV speakers to come out of the external speakers.
