How do I watch Dolby Vision content on my 8K TV using the HDMI input?

    IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details.

    • On the connected device, make sure the output is set to Dolby Vision.
    • If you're using the HDMI4 port on the TV, make sure the output is set to HDMI signal format.

    Note: The Enhanced format (8K) capabilities of the HDMI4 port doesn't support Dolby Vision. The HDMI1, HDMI2, and HDMI3 ports on the TV all support Dolby Vision and don't need the HDMI signal format setting.

    Follow these steps to change the Setting:

    1. Open the Settings screen.
      • Use the Quick Settings button.
        1. On the remote control, press the (Quick Settings) button.
        2. Select Settings.
      • Use the HOME button.

        2. Select Settings.
    2. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options

      • Select Channels & InputsExternal inputsHDMI signal formatConnected HDMI terminal.

    3. Select Enhanced format (Dolby Vision) or Standard format.
