Music Center for PC

    Enlarging the text size of “Music Center for PC” (Windows) (Music Center for PC Ver.1.0)

    You cannot change the displayed text size using the settings in “Music Center for PC.”
    First, update “Music Center for PC” to Version 1.0.01 or later. Then, adjust the Windows settings to enlarge the displayed text size.
    Try the following.

    1. Update “Music Center for PC.”

      Access the following website.

      If you still find the text size to be too small even after you have updated “Music Center for PC,” try the following.

    2. Change the compatibility settings.

      Windows 10

      1. Close “Music Center for PC.”

        If you are currently running “Music Center for PC,” close the application before proceeding to the next step.

      2. Right-click [Start], and then select [Explorer].
      3. When the [Explorer] window is displayed, select the following:
        [PC] – [Local Disk (C:)] – [Program Files (x86)] – [Sony] – [Music Center]

        * If you changed the destination folder when you installed “Music Center for PC,” open that folder.
        * If you do not have a [Program Files (x86)] folder on your Windows computer, select [Program Files].

      4. Right-click [MusicCenter.exe], and then select [Properties].
      5. Select the [Compatibility] tab in the [Properties] window.
      6. Remove the checkmark from [Override high DPI scaling behavior] under [Settings]. Then, select [OK].

        If you cannot find the item above on your computer, perform the following step instead.
        Remove the checkmark from [Disable display scaling on high DPI settings] under [Settings]. Then, select [OK].

      7. Launch “Music Center for PC.”

        Check if the text (such as menus) is displayed in a larger size.

      If you still find the text size to be too small even after you have changed the compatibility settings, try the following.

      Windows 8.1

      1. Close “Music Center for PC.”

        If you are currently running “Music Center for PC,” close the application before proceeding to the next step.

      2. Right-click [Start], and then select [Explorer].
      3. When the [Explorer] window is displayed, select the following:
        [PC] – [Local Disk (C:)] – [Program Files (x86)] – [Sony] – [Music Center]

      1. Close “Music Center for PC.”
        If you are currently running “Music Center for PC,” close the application before proceeding to the next step.
      2. Click [Start], and then select [Computer].
      3. When the [Computer] window is displayed, select the following:
        [PC] – [Local Disk (C:)] – [Program Files (x86)] – [Sony] – [Music Center]

        * If you changed the destination folder when you installed “Music Center for PC,” open that folder.
        * If you do not have a [Program Files (x86)] folder on your Windows computer, select [Program Files].

      4. Right-click [MusicCenter.exe], and then select [Properties].
      5. Select the [Compatibility] tab in the [Properties] window.
      6. Remove the checkmark from [Disable display scaling on high DPI settings] under [Settings]. Then, select [OK].
      7. Launch “Music Center for PC.”

        Check if the text (such as menus) is displayed in a larger size.

      If you still find the character size to be too small even after you have changed the compatibility settings, try the following.

    3. Change the display settings.

      Windows 10

      1. Right-click the [Start] button, and then select [Settings].
      2. Select [System] in the [Settings] window.
      3. Select the desired size from the [Change the size of text, apps, and other items] list in the [Display] menu under the [System] field.
      4. When the dialog [Some apps won't respond to scaling changes until you sign out.] appears, select [Sign out now] below.
      5. Sign in again, and launch “Music Center for PC.”

        Check if the text (such as menus) is displayed in a larger size.

      Windows 8.1

      1. Right-click the [Start] button, and then select [Control Panel].
      2. Select [Display] in the [Control Panel] window.

        If [Category] is selected as the [View by:] setting, click [Category]. Then, select [Large Icon] or [Small Icon], and try Step 2 above.

      3. Add a checkmark to the checkbox for [Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays] in the [Display] window.

        If there is already a checkmark in the checkbox, proceed to Step 4.

      4. Select [Small], [Middle], or [Big] as the text size. Then, select [Apply].
      5. When the dialog [You must sign out of your computer to apply these changes] appears, select [Sign out now].
      6. Sign on to your computer again, and then launch “Music Center for PC.”

        Check if the text (such as menus) is displayed in a larger size.

      Windows 7

      1. Click the [Start] button, and then select [Control Panel].
      2. Select [Display] in the [Control Panel] window.

        If [Category] is selected as the [View by:] setting, click [Category]. Then, select [Large Icon] or [Small Icon], and try Step 2 above.

      3. In the [Display] window, select [Small], [Middle], or [Big] as the text size. Then, select [Apply].
      4. When the pop-up dialog [You must log off your computer to apply these changes] appears, select [Log off now].
      5. Log on to your computer again, and then launch “Music Center for PC.”

        Check if the text (such as menus) is displayed in a larger size.
