How do I register my Sony product?
To register your Sony Electronics product(s) please follow these instructions:
- Go to the Product Registration site.
- Enter a valid email address in the Email Address input box. Your account will be linked to this email.
- In the Model Number input box, please begin by typing the first three characters of your model, a drop-down list will appear. Select your model from the drop-down list.
- Click on Where's my Model #? if you need help identifying your model number.
- Enter your product purchase date in the Purchase Date input box.
- Input your Place of Purchase in the corresponding input box. If your place of purchase does not appear, please input/select Other to complete registration.
- Click the Submit button.
- You will be taken to a another page to complete your registration.
- This page collects information (name, address, etc.) to complete an account which enables you to easily access your product information.
- Complete the required information
- Click Submit to complete your registration. You will be taken to your account home page.
Notes:
- If you already have a Product Registration account, Log In via the Log In tab and register your product on your account page on the right sidebar
- You can only register one product at a time. If you want to register more than one product, you may register additional products on your account home page once your initial registration is finalized and your account is created
- Products over seven years old may not be listed
- This site does not support PlayStation and Vaio registrations
How can I confirm that my product was registered?
Confirm the a product was registered:
- Go to the Product Registration site.
- Log in to your product registration customer account.
- Once logged in, your registered products should be listed within your Home screen (My Product Locker).
- From this page, locate your registered product. The locker is sorted by date of product registration (Newest - Oldest) and also shows the model number along with other relevant information.
- If the product is not found within your product locker, the product will need to be registered.
How do I delete a Sony product from My Product Locker?
Delete a Sony product from the My Product Locker:
- Go to the Product Registration site.
- Log in to your product registration customer account.
- Once logged in, your registered products should be listed within your Home screen (My Product Locker).
- From your Product Locker, click the X in the upper right-hand corner of the product you would like to delete.
- Some products will have a black box with the Sony logo as the icon - it is difficult to see the X in these cases, hover your mouse in the upper right-hand corner of the icon and the mouse arrow will turn into the selection hand and you're able to click to delete.
- You will receive a prompt verifying you wish to remove the item.
- Click > Yes and the product will be removed.
- Click > No and you will be taken back to your product locker.
How do I reset my Product Registration Account Password?
Reset a Product Registration Account Password:
- Go to the Product Registration site.
- Click the Log link.
- Click Forgot Your Password?
- You will be directed to a Password Reset page which will request you enter the Email Address associated with the account to receive an email that will allow you to reset your password.
- Note: If you do not receive the email, your account is not recognized and a new account should be created.
- Click the Reset your password link in the email received.
- You will be directed to the Password Reset page. Enter your new desired Password in the Password and Password Confirmation boxes.
- Click Change.
- If the New Password is accepted, you will be redirected to your My Product Locker page.
Change a Product Registration Account Password:
- Go to the Product Registration site.
- Log in to your product registration customer account.
- Click My Profile in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
- Click the Change Password link under the Main Information Section.
- You will be directed to the Password Reset page. Enter your new desired Password in the Password and Password Confirmation boxes.
- Click Change.
- If the New Password is accepted, you will be redirected to your My Product Locker page.
Password requirements: Minimum of 8 and maximum of 20 characters. Must contain at least one letter and one number.
