There are color stains or tint on the display
After trying each of these steps, test to see if the issue has been resolved before moving on to the next step.
- Turn off your device and then turn it back on.
- Make sure that the perceived stains are not caused by a protective screen film or case used with the device. Remove any such accessories to make sure that there are stains on the display.
- Use the Tests feature in the Support app to determine if the stains are caused by one or more missing or odd-color pixels.
- Check if there is a software update available for your Xperia™ device, find and tap Settings → System or About phone → Software update → SYSTEM.
- Perform a factory data reset.
Note: Back up all personal data before performing a reset. All data in the internal memory is overwritten during a factory data reset, but content on an external SD™ card is kept. - If colored stains or tints still appear, contact us.
