I can't turn the MUTING function off on my Audio/Video (A/V) receiver

    If the MUTING lamp stays lit even after you press MUTING on the remote control to turn the function off, follow these steps to resolve this issue:

    IMPORTANT: If model-specific information is needed to complete any of these steps, refer to the instructions supplied with the product. Manuals are posted on your model support page.

    NOTE: Because each of these steps represents a possible solution to this issue, check the MUTING status after completing each step.

    1. Increase the volume of the A/V receiver.
    2. Power the A/V receiver off and then turn the power back on.
    3. Perform an Auto Calibration as follows:
      1. Using the supplied remote control, press the AMP MENU button.
      2. Press the UP or DOWN direction arrow Image repeatedly to select AUTO CAL.
      3. Press the + (center) button.
      4. Press the UP or DOWN direction arrow repeatedly to select A.CAL START.
      5. Press the + (center) button.
    4. Initialize the A/V receiver.

      NOTE: Once you have performed these steps, all the settings you have changed or adjusted will be reset back to the initial settings.

      1. Press the I/Q (POWER) button to power off the A/V receiver.
      2. Press and hold down the I/Q (POWER) button for five seconds.
        • CLEARING will appear in the display.
        • After a short time, CLEARED will appear and the unit will be reset back to factory settings.

    If MUTING is still turned on after you have reset the A/V receiver back to factory settings, the HDMI control function will need to be turned off. Follow these steps to turn this function off:

    1. Using the supplied remote control, press the AMP MENU button.
    2. Press the DOWN arrow repeatedly to select HDMI setting.
    3. Press the + (center) button to select HDMI control setting.
    4. Select HDMI Control off.
