There is no picture when connecting a receiver to a TV using HDMI connections.

This model of Audio/Video receiver will not upconvert a component or composite connection from your video playback device, such as a Blu-ray Disc® player, if the A/V receiver is connected to the TV using an HDMI® cable. To display the picture from the video playback device to the TV, either connect the video playback device directly to the A/V receiver using an HDMI input, or connect it to the TV using an analog output.
The following diagrams show how to connect the video playback device when upconvert using a component or composite connection is not supported.
