What is the optimum setting for the Low Frequency Effect (LFE) of the subwoofer output?
Some Sony® receivers will allow different output settings for the Frequency Effect (LFE) channel. The best setting for this channel will depend on the listener, the active subwoofer being used, the size and placement of the main speakers, the size of the listening room, and the location that the subwoofer is placed in this room.
NOTE: A setting of 0 dB indicates that the LFE signal is being sent to the subwoofer at the same level as it was recorded.
