How to connect a computer to an A/V receiver.

The type of audio connection between the A/V receiver and the computer will vary based on the available input and output connections that are available on the A/V receiver and the computers sound card.

When making an analog connection, a stereo mini pin to A/V connection adapter will be needed. The mini pin portion will connect to the computer audio input/output connector, while the A/V connectors will connect to the desired A/V receiver input/output connection.

NOTE: Do not use the A/V receiver PHONO input for this connection.

When making a digital connection, both the A/V receiver and the computer sound card need to have digital connectors.
