None of the listed manufacturer codes work to control a component.
The manufacturer codes provided for programming a remote control to operate a component not manufactured by Sony (third-party component) may not work or may not work properly for several reasons. The most common reason is that the component being programmed is newer than the remote control and the remote control has not been tested for functionality with the component.
You can try programming the remote control using the codes listed for the component type of other manufacturers. If the remote still does not control the component, you can try using the code listed in the manual for other component types. Also, some remote controls have a search feature that will allow you to test each code on the component. Refer to the instruction manual specific to the remote control for further information. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
If none of the supplied codes work, the remote control will not be able to communicate with the component. In this case it will be necessary to use the remote control supplied with the component to operate the device or try purchasing a remote control with infrared (IR) learning capabilities.
NOTE: Additional remote codes and programming instructions may be available through the Sony® Remote Code Support Web site. You will need the remote control model number to find the appropriate codes and programming instructions. The remote control model number should be on the bottom-front of the remote. It is not the same as the model number of the Sony component.
