No Audio from the Soundbar or A/V Receiver After the Software Update

The latest software update for your soundbar and A/V receiver adds support for the Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC). If your audio device doesn't output sound when connected to the HDMI® (ARC) port on your TV, check if your TV is compatible with eARC. Check your TV manual for model-specific information. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
If your TV isn't compatible, turn off the eARC function on your audio device.
- Turn off eARC on your soundbar:
- On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
- Select Setup.
- Select System Settings or Advanced Settings.
- Select HDMI Settings.
- Select eARC.
- Set to Off.
- Turn off eARC on your A/V receiver: The steps vary depending on your model.

- On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
- Select Setup.
- Select HDMI Settings.
- Select eARC.
- Set to Off.

- On the supplied remote, press the AMP MENU button.
- On the front panel display of the receiver, select <HDMI>.
- Select EARC.
- Set to OFF.

Note: eARC is a new HDMI® 2.1 standardized function. It adds support for the latest audio formats, such as Dolby Atmos® audio with Dolby TrueHD, DTS:X, or multi-channel LPCM, including those supported by the Audio Return Channel (ARC).
