The steps on how to reset the component Hi-Fi stereo system to factory settings vary depending on the model number of your stereo system. Select the appropriate steps below based on the model number of your stereo system.

Note: The resetting procedure is in the Troubleshooting section of the Help Guide or Operating Instructions.
IMPORTANT:
- Use the buttons on the unit itself to perform the steps below.
- All user-configured settings, such as preset radio stations, Sleep Timer, pairing registration information, clock and network are reset to factory default setting.
CMT-SBT20, CMT-SBT20B
- Press the On/Standby button to turn on the system.
- At the same time, press and hold the FUNCTION and EJECT buttons until RESET appears on the display window.
CMT-SBT20, CMT-SBT20B
- Press the On/Standby button to turn on the system.
- At the same time, press and hold the FUNCTION and EJECT buttons until RESET appears on the display window.
CMT-SBT40D, CMT-X3CD
- Turn on the system.
- At the same time, press and hold the FUNCTION and EJECT buttons until RESET appears on the display window.
CMT-X5CDB
- Unplug the power cord and confirm that the STANDBY indicator is not lit. Then pluh back in the power cord and turn on the system.
- At the same time, press and hold the FUNCTION and ON/Standby buttons until RESET appears on the display window.
GTK-X1BT
- Unplug the power cord from the electrical wall outlet.
- Plug the power cord back into the electrical wall outlet.
- Press the ON/Standby button to turn on the system.
- While holding down the STOP button, press the FUNCTION button for about 3 seconds.
GTK-XB5
- Unplug and plug back in the power cord, and then turn on the system.
- At the same time, press and hold the FUNCTIONPAIRING and the VOLUME - (minus) buttons for more than 5 seconds.
GTK-XB60, GTK-XB90
- Resetting the system
- Press the RESET switch on the back of the stereo system using a ball-point pen.
- Press the POWER button to turn the system back on.
Note: Pairing information is not deleted when you press RESET.

- Press the POWER button to turn on the system.
- At the same time, press and hold the FUNCTIONPAIRING and the VOLUME - (minus) buttons for more than 5 seconds.

- Unplug and plug back in the power cord, and then turn on the system.
- At the same time, press and hold the FUNCTIONPAIRING and the VOLUME - (minus) buttons for more than 5 seconds.
GTK-XB72
- Press the POWER button to turn on the system.
- At the same time, press and hold the FUNCTIONPAIRING and the VOLUME - (minus) buttons on the system for more than 5 seconds.
MHC-V02, MHC-V21, MHC-V21D, MHC-V42D, MHC-V43D, MHC-V71, MHC-V71D, MHC-V72D, MHC-V73D, MHC-V81D, MHC-V82D, MHC-V83D
- Unplug the power cord from the system, then plug it back in.
- Press the POWER button to turn on the system.
- At the same time, press and hold the GUITAR and MEGA BASS buttons for about 3 seconds.
MHC-V11
- Unplug and plug back in the power cord, then turn on the system.
- At the same time, press and hold the STOP and Folder - (minus) buttons until RESET appears on the display window.
MHC-V13
- Unplug the power cord from the system, then plug it back in.
- Press the POWER button to turn on the system.
- At the same time, press and hold the GUITAR and MEGA BASS buttons for about 3 seconds.
