How to troubleshoot issues when the Touchpad Remote Control does not work.

    If the Touch Pad Remote control cannot be paired.

    NOTES:

    1. Replace the batteries.

      1. Remove the batteries from the Touchpad Remote Control.

        NOTES:

        • Be sure that the batteries are not drained and that the contacts are not dirty.
        • Below is an illustration on how to open the battery cover.

      2. Leave the Touchpad Remote Control without batteries for at least two seconds.

      3. Reinsert new batteries.

        NOTE: Use the supplied manganese batteries after installing the TV. However, if you want a longer battery life, use alkaline batteries.

    2. Pair the Touchpad Remote Control with the TV again.

      1. Power on the TV.
      2. Using the IR remote control, press the HOME button.
      3. Under the Settings category, select Settings.
      4. Under the Network & Accessories, select Touchpad Remote Control settings.
      5. Select Pair Touchpad Remote Control.
      6. Select Yes to confirm.
      7. Follow the on-screen instructions.

    NOTES:

    • The Touchpad Remote Control uses the 2.4 GHz band, therefore communication speed may deteriorate or cut out occasionally because of wireless LAN interference. If household electric appliances (e.g. microwaves or mobile devices) are placed nearby, radio wave interference is more likely to happen.
    • The TV or Touchpad Remote Control may not work on a metal rack caused by wireless communication interference.
    • The Touchpad Remote Control can control the last paired TV only. In addition, only one Touchpad Remote Control can be paired to a TV.
    • It is recommended to use the Touchpad Remote Control within 23 feet (7 meters) of the TV.
    • When you unplug the TV and plug it in again, the TV may not be able to turn on right away even if you press the power button on the remote or on the TV because it takes time to initialize the system. Wait for about 10 to 20 seconds, then turn it on again.
