Can I connect Bluetooth headphones to the audio receiver?

The audio receiver does not support the Bluetooth® HSP (Headset Profile), that allows the use of Bluetooth headphones or headsets. To use Bluetooth headphones or headsets, the headphones must have a separate Bluetooth receiver.

NOTE: The Sony® Bluetooth Transmitter and Receiver HWS-BTA2W, can be used for bluetooth headphones and headsets that do not come supplied with a separate Bluetooth receiver.

Please contact a local or online authorized retailer to purchase a Sony product.

The Bluetooth feature of the audio receiver is only designed to play music streaming from smart phones, tablets or other Bluetooth devices. Listed below are the Bluetooth version and profiles supported by the audio receiver :

    • Bluetooth Specification: Version 3.0
    • A2DP(Advance Audio Distribution Profile): Allows the audio receiver to receive high quality audio content from another Bluetooth capable device.
    • AVRCP 1.3 (Audio Video Remote Control Profile): Allows the audio receiver to control the source device (pausing, stopping, starting, playback, volume control, etc.).
