How do I setup my computer as a DLNA server?
Setup your computer as a Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) server to enjoy streaming music, videos, and photos over the network to a DLNA-supported device like TV's, Blu-ray Disc™ players, Home Theater systems, Hi-Fi component systems, and computers.
Note:
- If you are using third-party firewall or security software, you must configure it to allow the DLNA server access to your network.
- Not all VAIO® computers have the VAIO Media™ Plus software. To verify whether your computer has this software, check the specifications. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
Follow the steps below to set up a DLNA server depending on your computer's operating system.
- Microsoft® Windows® 7 OS
- Microsoft® Windows Vista® OS
- Microsoft® Windows® XP OS
- VAIO Media plus software
After you have set up the DLNA server, follow the set-up instructions for your DLNA device to connect to the server.
