The compartment door for the cassette tape of the boombox will not open.

Follow this procedure to troubleshoot if the compartment door for the cassette tape of the boombox will not open.

1. Unplug the power cord from the AC outlet.
2. Remove the batteries.
3. Let the stereo system remain without power for 30 seconds.
4. Plug the power cord back into the AC outlet.
5. Reinsert the batteries.
6. Attempt to open the compartment door for the cassette tape.
