Follow these steps to troubleshoot static or poor radio reception on the portable radio.
- Ensure fresh batteries are installed.
- Tune the radio to a station that may be closer to your location or has a stronger signal.
- Set the radio to DX mode.
- Move the unit around to obtain better reception.
NOTE: The signal may be weaker in some locations, such as in a vehicle or building.
If the issue is still unresolved, service may be required. Go to Product Repair.
