After installing a camera USB driver, the computer indicates the driver cannot be found.

    Follow these steps to troubleshoot why the camera USB driver cannot be found.

    IMPORTANT: Before completing this procedure, download and install the current USB driver, available online. Downloads are posted on your model support page.
    1. Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.
    2. In the Control Panel window, under Pick a category, double-click the Performance and Maintenance icon.
    3. In the Performance and Maintenance window, under or pick a Control Panel icon, double-click the System icon.
    4. In the System Properties window, click the Hardware tab.
    5. On the Hardware tab, in the Device Manager box, click the Device Manager button.
    6. In the System Properties window, click the Hardware tab.
    7. On the Hardware tab, in the Device Manager box, click the Device Manager button.
    8. In the Device Manager window, double-click Universal Serial Bus controllers.
    9. Under Universal Serial Bus controllers, double-click the Sony USB driver with an exclamation mark (!).
    10. In the Sony USB Properties window, click the Driver tab.
    11. On the Driver tab, click the Update Driver button.
    12. In the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard window, click the Next button.
    13. Under What do you want the wizard to do?, click to select Display a list of the known drivers for this device.
    14. Click the Next button.
    15. In the Select a Device Driver window, under Models, click to select SONY DSC.
    16. Click the Next button.
    17. In the Start Device Driver Installation window, click the Next button.
    18. In the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard window, click the Finish button.
