The compressed RAW (cRAW) format has been developed using Sony's unique compression technology. This format compresses RAW files to 60-70% of the original size, while maintaining the fine, detailed information and rich tone information of RAW images. Because the image size of an image in the cRAW format is smaller, the writing speed and number of images that can be recorded on a memory card will be improved.
