How to update or delete map data from the nav-u™ portable navigation device using the Map Manager feature of the nav-u tool software.

If you would like to restore only the map data on your nav-u device, follow this procedure:

NOTES:

• This procedure requires a map update DVD.
• This procedure will only install or delete the map data (not any of the required sound or voice files). If you are having trouble with your nav-u unit or just purchased the map update DVD and you are installing it for the first time, it is highly recommended to use the installation files from the DVD. If you already have the voice and sound files and just wish to replace or delete the map data, continue with this procedure.

1. Insert the map update DVD into the CD/DVD drive of your computer and close any windows that open.
2. Connect the nav-u unit to the computer with the supplied USB cable.
3. Start the nav-u tool software.
4. In the nav-u tool window, click Map Manager.
5. Under Select Map data to update, click the Browse button.
6. In the Browse for Folder window, double-click the drive that contains the nav-u tool software.
7. Click the Map folder to select it.
8. Click OK.
9. Under Map Name, click to select the Map data.
10. Click the right arrow to begin the update process.

Follow this procedure to delete a map from your nav-u unit:

1. Insert the map update DVD into the CD/DVD drive of your computer and close any windows that open.
2. Connect the nav-u unit to the computer with the supplied USB cable.
3. Start the nav-u tool software.
4. In the nav-u tool window, click Map Manager.
5. In the left pane under Target, click the Show button.
6. Under Map Name, click to select the Map data.
7. Click the Delete button.
8. In the Are you sure to delete the Map data in Target box, click OK.
