Before You Start


Important Notes
  • The OpenMG Jukebox Software Installation CD is required to complete this process.
  • For Windows 2000 and Windows XP Operating Systems: During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
  • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  • It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

Download & Install


Download and Installation Instructions
  1. Download the UNINSTPATCH.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the UNINSTPATCH.EXE file to begin the installation.
  3. It is necessary to first uninstall the OpenMG Jukebox application from the computer before installing this utility. Please proceed with the steps below to uninstall OpenMG Jukebox.

Uninstall the OpenMG Jukebox™ Application
These steps may vary by operating system.
  1. From the Windows desktop, double-click the My Computer icon.
  2. At the "My Computer" window, double-click the Control Panel icon.
  3. At the "Control Panel" window, double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
  4. At the "Add/Remove Programs Properties" window, locate "OpenMG Jukebox" in the list of installed applications. Click to select it and then click the Add/Remove button.
  5. Repeat this process for all entries with "OpenMG" in the title.
  6. Continue with the next section below.

Run the UNINSTPATCH.EXE utility and then reinstall the OpenMG Jukebox™ application
  1. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the UNINSTPATCH.EXE file to begin the installation.
  2. Please follow the on-screen prompts carefully to complete the installation. Once installation is complete, continue to the next step.
    NOTE: The remaining steps may vary by operating system.
  3. From the Windows desktop, right-click on a blank area. From the menu, point to New and then click to select Folder.
  4. A folder titled "New Folder" will be created. Right-click on it and select Rename from the menu.
  5. Type:
    OPENMG
    and then press ENTER.
  6. Insert the OpenMG 2.x installation CD into the CDROM drive.
  7. Once the OpenMG Jukebox software installation screen has loaded, click Exit.
  8. At the "Confirmation" box, click Yes to terminate the installation.
  9. From the Windows desktop, double-click the My Computer icon.
  10. At the "My Computer" window, right-click the icon for the CDROM drive that contains the OpenMG Jukebox Software CD. From the menu, click to select Explore.
  11. At the "Explorer" window, on the menu bar, click Edit and then click Select All.
  12. At the Explorer window, on the menu bar, click Edit again, and then click Copy.
  13. Click the X in the top-right corner to close each of the open windows.
  14. Locate the OPENMG Folder created in step A. Right-click on it and click to select Paste from the menu.
  15. After the copying process has completed, double-click the OPENMG folder icon.
  16. At the "OPENMG" window, double-click the Setup icon to install OpenMG Jukebox software.
  17. After installation is complete, the OPENMG folder and its contents can be deleted from the Windows desktop.
    1. Right-click the OPENMG folder and then select Delete from the menu.
    2. At the "Confirm Folder Delete" box, click Yes.
