    Unless stated otherwise, the file listed below must be installed BEFORE the OpenMG™ Secure Module Update Program For OpenMG™ Jukebox Version 2.2 in order for it to work properly. If more than one Required file is listed, install them in the order presented on this page.

    If the version of OpenMG™ Jukebox installed on your computers is lower than 2.2.10.xxxxx, you must install UPDATE_OMG2210.EXE before installing OPENMGSETUP31.EXE.

    IMPORTANT: This file is only for use with the models identified. Not all models are sold in all countries.

    • Track time is not recognized when importing MP3 file.

    • The RIFF MP3 codec is not displayed correctly.
    • Errors occur when importing MP3 files.
    • Music information displays incorrectly when importing MP3 files.
    • When importing, the MP3 file does not display a track number and results in error OPCDS.DLL.

    Before You Start


    Important Notes
    • WARNING!!: This update program is exclusive to OpenMG Jukebox Ver.2.2 whose version is "2.2.10.xxxxx" or higher. Before installing this upadate, please check the version of the OpenMG™ Jukebox that is installed on your PC by following these steps:
      1. Start OpenMG™ Jukebox.
      2. From the Help menu, select About OpenMG Jukebox.
      3. Check the version of OpenMG Jukebox.
        • If the version is "2.2.10.xxxxx", continue with the download and installation instructions below.
        • If the version is lower than "2.2.10.xxxxx", download the OpenMG v2.2 Patch5 utility to update your OpenMG Jukebox to version "2.2.10.08020" first. Then proceed to download and install this OpenMG Jukebox Secure Module update program.
    • For Windows 2000 and Windows XP Operating Systems: During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
    • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    • It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

    Download & Install


    Download and Installation Instructions
    1. Download the OPENMGSETUP31.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
    2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the OPENMGSETUP31.EXE file to begin the installation.
    3. At the "InstallShield Wizard" window, follow the onscreen instructions.
    4. At the "Setup has successfully installed OpenMG Secure Module, Before you can use the program, you must restart your computer." screen, click Restart.

    After the computer restarts, the installation of the OpenMG™ Secure Module is complete.
    Confirm a Successful Installation
    NOTE: For "Net MD Simple Burner" users: After confirming that your update was successful, please download the Net MD™ Simple Burner Patch utility. The Net MD™ Simple Burner program must be updated in order to ensure that it will operate properly after installing this update.

     Please select the appropriate operating system and follow the steps to confirm if the update was successful:
    Microsoft® Windows® 98 Microsoft®, Windows®, 98SE, and Microsoft® Windows® ME Operating Systems
    1. Click Start, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
    2. At the "Control Panel" window, double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
    3. At the "Add/Remove Programs" box, click the "Install/Uninstall" tab. If the "OpenMG Secure Module 3.1" is listed, your update was successful.

    Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Professional Operating System
    1. Click Start, click Control Panel and click the "Add or Remove Programs" icon.
    2. At the "Add/Remove Programs Properties" box, click the "Change or Remove Programs" button. If the "OpenMG Secure Module 3.1" is listed, your update was successful.

    Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition and Microsoft® Windows® Operating Systems
    1. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
    2. At the "Control Panel" window, click Switch to Classic View.
    3. At the "Control Panel" window, double-click Add or Remove Programs.
    4. At the "Add or Remove Programs" window, click the Change or Remove Programs button. If the "OpenMG Secure Module 3.1" is listed, your update was successful.
