How do I remove or re-insert the battery cover on the ILCE-1 when using a vertical grip?

    To connect a vertical grip, such as the VG-C4EM, or other accessory that uses the battery compartment, the cover must be removed.

    Note: Be sure to turn the camera power off before inserting or removing the vertical grip.

    To remove the battery cover:

    1. Depress the spring-loaded release lever.
    2. Remove the battery cover.

    To re-insert the batter cover:

    1. Insert the shaft of the battery cover into one side of the attachement site.
    2. Push the battery cover to attach the shaft on the opposite side.

      Note: The spring-loaded release lever will snap into place.
