SteadyShot Function Doesn't Work

IMPORTANT: Optimal performance isn't guaranteed when using third-party lenses or mount adapters.

The SteadyShot® function may not work properly when the camera has just been powered on, right after you point the camera towards a subject, or when the shutter button has been pressed down fully without stopping halfway to allow the camera to achieve focus properly. Follow the steps below if it still doesn't work:

    1. Make sure that the SteadyShot function is set to On.
      1. On the camera, press the MENU button.
      2. Select image(Camera Settings).
      3. Select SteadyShot.
      4. Select On.
    2. Make sure to update the firmware to the latest version. Follow these steps to check the firmware version of the camera:
      1. On the camera, press the MENU button.
      2. Select image(Setup).
      3. Select Version.
    3. Adjust the SteadyShot Adjust and SteadyS. Focal Len settings to allow the camera to obtain focal length information.
      • To set the SteadyShot Adjust settings:
        1. On the camera, press the MENU button.
        2. Select image(Camera Settings).
        3. Select SteadyShot Settings.
        4. Select SteadyShot Adjust.
        5. Select Manual.
      • To set the SteadyS. Focal Len settings:
        1. On the camera, press the MENU button.
        2. Select image(Camera Settings).
        3. Select SteadyShot Settings.
        4. Select SteadyS. Focal Len.
        5. Select the focal length from 8 mm to 1000 mm to match the lens you are using.

Note: If the attached lens has on OSS switch, make sure the it is switched to the On position. The SteadyShot function of the lens overrides the SteadyShot function of the camera body.

If the issue still occurs, the device may need repair.  Go to Product Repair.
