The Eye AF and Eye-Start AF are two different technologies that do two different things.
What Is Eye AF?
Eye AF is a feature that allows the camera to automatically focus on the eyes of a subject.
What Is Eye-Start AF?
Eye-Start AF is a feature that allows the camera to start auto focusing on your subject as soon as you put your eye on the viewfinder.
Note: Eye-Start AF is only available when an A-Mount lens and A-Mount adapter, such as LA-EA2 and LA-EA4, are attached.
