Lithium Ion or InfoLithium® battery: Store in a cool, dry place. There is no need to discharge this type of battery before storage.
Nickel Cadmium (NiCad®) battery: Store in a cool, dry place. The battery should be discharged before storage. If the battery is to be stored longer than a year, it should be fully charged and discharged at least once a year to maintain performance.
NOTES:
- A Lithium Ion or InfoLithium battery can be charged at any time without risking damage to the battery.
- Standard NiCad batteries should be fully discharged before recharging, otherwise it the battery life may be lowered.
- NiCad batteries without memory effect can be charged at any time without the risk of lowering the battery life.
