When should I adjust white balance manually?
Lighting conditions affect subject coloring. For example:
- The entire image may appear blue under cloudy conditions.
- Light-colored subjects may gain a reddish tint under certain light sources (such as incandescent bulbs).
Unlike the human eye, digital still cameras may not be able to automatically adjust to changing lighting conditions. If your photos and videos show unnatural color, then manually adjust the white balance. For model-specific information, check your manual. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
