My Blu-ray Player Stops Responding and Can't Play a Disc

Before You Start

Update the software of the Blu-ray Disc™ player to the latest version. Downloads are posted on your model support page.

Solution

Follow these steps to resolve playback issues.

1. On your device, press and hold the Power button for ten seconds or more to turn it off.
2. Unplug the AC power cord from the wall outlet, and then plug it back in.
3. Turn on the device.
4. Press the Eject button and remove the disc.
5. Set BD-ROM 24P Output to Off

   1. On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
   2. Select Setup.
   3. Select Screen Settings.
   4. Select BD-ROM 24P Output.
   5. Select Off.
