How to extend the distance that the remote control will work.
Follow these steps to ensure that you are maximizing the capability of the supplied remote control:
- Install fresh batteries into the remote.
- Make sure nothing is blocking the Infrared (IR) sensor on the TV. Some locations or TV stand designs can interfere with the IR signal from the remote control. Glass enclosures, as well as fluorescent or halogen lights, may prevent the IR signal from reaching the TV.
NOTE: While Sony does not manufacture or support the use of IR repeaters or IR extenders, these type of devices may be the solution when installing the device in a large room or custom home theater installations. Contact your home theater installer or visit your local retailer for additional information.
