Follow this procedure to troubleshoot if no picture displays when attempting to play a DVD through the component video out jacks.
NOTE: The connected television may be unable to accept a progressive format signal. If the DVD/VCR is outputting a progressive format signal, turning this function off may resolve the issue.
- Ensure the component cables are connected properly to the DVD/VCR and the television.
- Ensure the television is tuned to the correct video input to display component video signals.
- Ensure the DVD/VCR is set to output component video signals.
- On the front of the DVD/VCR, press the PROGRESSIVE button to turn off the progressive format signal.
