How to reinitialize the mouse driver.
- Using the keyboard, press the Windows key to open the Start Menu.
- Press the C key to open the Control Panel.
NOTE: If the Control Panel does not open, press the C key until Control Panel is selected, then press the ENTER key.
- In the Control Panel window, press the TAB key to select the Performance and Maintenance icon.
- Press the ENTER key.
- In the Performance and Maintenance window, press the TAB key until the System icon is selected.
- Press the ENTER key.
- In the System Properties window, press the RIGHT ARROW key until the Hardware tab is selected.
- In the System Properties window, on the Hardware tab, press the TAB key until the Device Manager button is selected.
- Press the ENTER key.
- In the Device Manager window, press the TAB key until the computer model number is selected.
- Press the DOWN ARROW key until Mice and other pointing devices is selected.
- Press the RIGHT ARROW key to display the current mouse driver.
- Press the DOWN ARROW key until the current mouse driver is selected.
- Press the ENTER key.
- In theMouse Properties window, press the TAB key until the General tab is selected.
- Press the RIGHT ARROW key until the Driver tab is selected.
- On the Driver tab, press the TAB key until Uninstall is selected.
- In the Confirm Device Removal window, press the ENTER key to remove the device.
- In the System Settings Change window, press the ENTER key to restart the computer.
