There is audio but no video when playing a DVD.

By pressing the VIDEO ON/OFF button on the remote control when the player is stopped, the video output can be switched on or off. When the video output is set to off, the effect of the digital and analog video circuitry on the audio signal is cut to a minimum. When there no video signal output from the player, the VIDEO OFF indicator lights on the player.

NOTE: If the video output cannot be switched and the word PROHIBITED is displayed, then press the AUDIO DIRECT button on the front of the player.
