How to enable or disable the microphone.

    1. Click the Start button and then click Control Panel.
    2. In the Control Panel window, click Hardware and Sound.
    3. In the Hardware and Sound window, click Sound.
    4. In the Sound window, on the Playback tab, click to select Speakers/Headphones and then click the Properties button.
    5. In the Speaker/Headphones Properties window, click on the Levels tab.
    6. On the Levels tab, next to Microphone, click on the speaker button [FIG. 1] to enable or disable the microphone.
    7. Click the OK button.
    8. Close the open windows.
