How to enable the internal Bluetooth® adapter.
Depending on the configuration of your computer use one of the following applications to enable the internal Bluetooth adapter.
NOTES:
- If your computer is configured with a WWAN adapter, use the SmartWi Connection Utility.
- If your computer is not configured with a WWAN adapter, use the Wireless Device Switch utility.
- Check the specifications of your computer to determine if it is supplied with a WWAN adapter.
- Use the following procedure to enable the Bluetooth adapter with the Wireless Device Switch.
- Turn on the physical wireless switch located on the computer case. Consult the user's guide for the location.
- Double-click on the Wireless Device Switch icon in the system tray. [FIG. 1]
- In the Wireless Device Switch window, under Bluetooth Device, click to check the Enable Bluetooth Device setting.
- Click the OK button.
- Use the following procedure to enable the Bluetooth adapter with the SmartWi Connection Utility.
- Turn on the physical wireless switch located on the computer case. Consult the user's guide for the location.
- Click the Start button, and then click All Programs.
- In the All Programs menu, click SmartWi Connection Utility and then click SmartWi Connection Utility to open the application.
- In the SmartWi Connection Utility window, click on the Bluetooth button.
NOTE: When the Bluetooth adapter is enabled, the Bluetooth button in the SmartWi Connection Utility will display a green indicator.
- Click the OK button.
