XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC have stops working after installing a BIOS update.
After performing a BIOS update on a VAIO computer that used the XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC, you may get an error that the processor is not capable of supporting the virtual XP mode. The reason for this is because XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC software may have been using the Intel Virtualization Technology (Intel VT) feature, but the BIOS update may have turned off that feature.
To resolve this issue, turn the Intel VT feature back on .
