How do I setup and use the 3D Display functions?
Follow this procedure to complete the NVIDIA 3D Vision Setup Wizard to enable the 3D Display functions, and to test whether or not you can see stereoscopic 3D images.
- On the computer, above the keyboard, press the 3D button.
NOTE: Once the 3D button is pushed the 3D indicator light will be lit.
- In the 3D Display Function dialog box, click Yes.
- In the Set up NVIDIA 3D Vision window, click Next.
- Take the 3D Glasses out of the protective case, move the temple pieces to the open position, press the Power button and then put the 3D Glasses on.
NOTE: If this is the first time handling the 3D Glasses, it will be necessary to remove the small paper insert from the battery compartment. This will allow the battery to make contact and activate the 3D Glasses.
- On the computer, in the Turn on your glasses window, click Next.
- In the Test your Hardware setup window, perform the following steps:
- With the 3D Glasses on, use your hand to cover the right eye piece of the glasses and look at the large rectangle. Looking only through your left eye, you will see only one shape.
- In the first set of three squares below the large rectangle, click to select the option with the shape you observed (through your left eye).
- Use your hand to cover the left eye piece of the glasses and look at the large rectangle again. Looking only through your right eye, you will see only one shape.
- In the second set of three squares, click to select the option with the shape you observed (through your right eye).
- Once you have selected an option within each set of three squares, click Next.
NOTE: If the Hardware test failed window appears, click the Back button, ensure the 3D Glasses are turned on, and repeat the previous two steps. If the Hardware test failed window again appears, further troubleshooting will be necessary to determine the cause of the failure.
- In the Verify your ability to view stereoscopic 3D content window, perform the following steps:
- With the 3D Glasses on, look at the large Black and White square.
- To the right of the large Black and White square, click to select the box that looks the most like the shape you observed.
- Below the two option boxes, click to read the health and safety information.
- Once you have read that information, click to place a check in the box next to I have read and understand the health and safety information.
- Once you have selected an option and placed a check in the box, click Next.
NOTE: If the Medical test failed window appears, click the Back button, ensure the 3D Glasses are turned on, and repeat the previous two steps. If the Medical test failed window again appears, it is recommended that you do not use 3D Vision. Please consult your eye doctor for any possible vision anomalies. 3D Vision will be disabled.
- In the Congratulations, you are now ready to use NVIDIA 3D version! window, click Finish.
