How to ensure the i.LINK® port is enabled in Device Manager.

    1. Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.
    2. In the Control Panel window, under Pick a category, double-click the Performance and Maintenance icon.
    3. In the Performance and Maintenance window, under or pick a Control Panel icon, double-click the System icon.
    4. In the System Properties window, click the Hardware tab.
    5. On the Hardware tab, in the Device Manager box, click the Device Manager button.
    6. In the Device Manager window, double-click the IEEE 1394 PCI Host Controller icon.
    7. Under the IEEE 1394 PCI Host Controllers icon, click to select the IEEE 1394 PCI Host Controller listed.
    8. On the menu bar, click Action.
    9. On the Action menu, click Properties.
    10. In the IEEE 1394 PCI Host Controller window, on the General tab, under Device usage, in the drop down box, the status will be indicated.

      NOTE: The two options are Use this device (enable) or Do not use this device (disabled).
