Can I connect a portable player to a car stereo using the XA300 auxiliary input adapter?
With a Sony® BUS-compatible car stereo and a CD or Minidisc (MD) changer that supports the UniLink™ BUS control, you can connect to the INPUT CONTROL [FIG. 1] section of the XA300 auxiliary input adapter. Connect all other portable audio devices to either of the AUX IN [FIG. 1] jacks on the XA300 adapter.
NOTE: A BUS-compatible car stereo receiver is only required for UniLink control connections.
After the connection has been made, select the appropriate source:
- Press the SOURCE button repeatedly until CD is selected.
- Press MODE repeatedly until the portable audio device you want to listen to is selected.
