How to reset the Parental Control password for the car stereo.
WARNING: There is a risk of data loss. Performing the RESET procedure will erase the clock settings and other stored content
If you have forgotten the password that you set for the DVD playback Parental Control function, or you simply want to change it, you can reset the password by pressing the RESET button on the car stereo with a pointed object, such as a ball-point pen tip.
NOTE: The operating instructions that came supplied with this series of car stereo receivers (see the Products section below) incorrectly provides a 4-digit code that can be entered in to reset the password. A correction is being made to the operating instructions for future printings.
