How to turn off the Xperia device protection?

    Follow the troubleshooting steps according to the operating system on your device.

    Remove your Google™ account(s) from the device to disable device protection

    Android™ 9 or higher

    1. Find and tap SettingsAccounts/ Passwords and accounts.
    2. Tap a Google account.
    3. Tap REMOVE ACCOUNTREMOVE ACCOUNT.
    4. If this is the only Google account on the phone, you'll need to enter your phone's pattern, PIN, or password for security.
    5. Repeat the procedure for additional accounts.

    Android 8.x

    1. Find and tap SettingsUsers & accounts.
    2. Tap a Google account.
    3. Tap REMOVE ACCOUNTREMOVE ACCOUNT.
    4. If this is the only Google account on the device, you'll need to enter your device's pattern, PIN, or password for security.
    5. Repeat the procedure for additional accounts.

    Android 6.0 or 7.x

    1. Find and tap SettingsAccounts & sync.
