How do I remove the system software updates notification icon?
Valid for
- Android™ 9 or higher
The software update notification icon is designed to appear whenever new system software is available.
In Android version 5.0 or higher, it's not possible to permanently deactivate the system software update notification. However, you can deactivate it temporarily. The update notification will reappear after a restart of your Xperia® device or if you search for an update manually.
Note: It's highly recommended you update the software as it increases the overall performance and improves the security protection of the device. Updating your device to the latest software reduces the risk of sending it for repair.
