Accessibility for Xperia Smartphone
The Xperia® smartphones support the following accessibility features and are available on Xperia smartphones with Android™ 11 and Android 12.
Notes:
- These features are available on Xperia smartphones with Android 11 or later installed. In addition, some features will be available from Android 12 or later (*1) or Android 13 or later (*2).
- You can access them from Settings → Accessibility (exclude some features).
- Available features might be different depending on the product.
- Depending on the product and Android OS version, some features might require app installation from Google Play™.
Vision
TalkBack | You can use your device without looking at the screen by speaking feedback. |

Font size | You can make the text on the screen smaller or larger. |
Display size | You can make the items on your screen smaller or larger. |
Dark theme | You can change your display to a dark background. |

Extra dim | You can dim your screen beyond your phone's minimum brightness, making reading more comfortable. (Android 12 or later) (*1) |
Magnification | You can zoom or magnify to see your device's screen better. |
Color correction | You can adjust how colors display on your device. |
Color inversion | You can change your display to a dark background. |
Large mouse cursor | You can make the mouse pointer larger. |
Remove animations | You can remove animation partly while operating your device. |
High-contrast text | You can make the text easier to read on your device. |
Auto description | Hear a description of what's happening on screen in supported movies and shows. (*2) |
Hearing
Mono audio | You can integrate audio channels during playback. |

Switch access | You can interact with your device using one or more switches. |

Click after the mouse pointer stops moving | You can set the mouse cursor to take action automatically when the cursor stops moving for a certain amount of time. |
Power button ends the call | You can press your device's power button to end a call. |
Auto-rotate screen | You can rotate the screen automatically when you move your device between portrait and landscape. |
Touch & hold delay | You can adjust the time before your tap on the screen becomes a touch & hold. |
Time to take action (Accessibility timeout) | You can choose how long to show messages that ask you to take action but are visible only temporarily. |
Vibration & haptic strength | You can turn on vibration for ringing, notifications, and touch. |
System navigation | You can choose between the 3-button navigation and the Gesture navigation. |
Volume key shortcut | You can press and hold both volume keys to start an accessibility feature. |
